Emergency! Comes to METV Network in next few years
In few years Emergency! will be coming to METV Network a Digital Network that is via your Local Television station Digital Sub Channel.
Me-TV announces new shows on fall schedule including
NBCUniversal series ‘Kojak,’ ‘The Rockford Files,’ & ‘Columbo’
9/20/11 – Chicago, Illinois – Me-TV adds classic programming from NBCUniversal Television Distribution
to the fall schedule and network library, joining acquisitions from Twentieth Television, CBS Television
Distribution, and independent producers and distributors.
Me-TV continues to define classic television with key acquisitions from the NBCUniversal library including
three iconic detective series: ‘The Rockford Files,’ ‘Kojak’ and ‘Columbo.’ In addition, Me-TV viewers will
find ‘Leave it to Beaver,’ ‘Dragnet,’ ‘Adam 12,’ ‘Boris Karloff's Thriller,’ ‘The Alfred Hitchcock Hour,’
‘Wagon Train,’ (both the original 60 minute and 90 minute versions) enhancing the Me-TV schedule over
the course of the next few years. Also to air on the network will be 1970's favorite ‘Emergency’ as well as
Raymond Burr's other series, ‘Ironside.’
"Our goal has always been to present the most diverse and complete schedule of memorable
entertainment to our affiliates, advertisers, and of course audience. Adding programming of this caliber
from NBCUniversal furthers our goal and is a response to requests and suggestions from many of our
affiliates, as well as hundreds of viewer email requests," stated Neal Sabin, President of Content and
Networks for Weigel Broadcasting Co.
Many of these NBCUniversal series will begin airing on Me-TV as early as Monday, September 26, 2011
when the network’s fall schedule launches, while others will premiere over the next several years, helping
to insure a long-term variety on the Me-TV schedule. Additional fall premieres include the original ‘Star
Trek’ and ‘Batman’ series. In addition, favorites ‘Daniel Boone’ and ‘The Rifleman’ have been acquired
through the Peter Rodgers Organization and the original ‘Laurel & Hardy’ shorts and features have been
acquired through RHI Entertainment Distribution; both titles will premiere this fall on Me-TV.
These series all join the iconic ‘M*A*S*H,’ ‘Cheers,’ ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show,’ ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and many other shows that truly define classic TV.

To all Emergency! fans,
There have been petitions, as well has hundreds of individual message threads on several TVLand message boards, asking -- practically begging and sometimes even INSULTING -- TVLand to return EMERGENCY! to their broadcast schedule.
This is the OFFICIAL standpoint: Universal Studios Television controls who gets broadcast rights to their shows. Right now, EMERGENCY! is demonstrating serious response (sales) in the DVD spectrum. For that reason, Universal has revoked syndication rights to all NETWORKS asking for the show.
Individual stations may still get broadcast rights, or may only be allowed to complete their current contracts and not be permitted to renew. NETWORKS like TVLand will not be given this opportunity.
Further, it has been announced this afternoon (11/28/06, 1440 ET) that Season 3 is being released on DVD on February 13, 2007. Our continued demonstrations of support have paid off. But now we must continue that demonstration of support by BUYING the S3 set beginning February 13, 2007.
Please do not blame TVLand for something that is completely out of their control.
I'll admit that I cannot understand why some Universal titles have not been "locked down" and TVLand is airing them (like A-Team), but this explanation has been posted numerous times by TVLand.
In return for our patience, understanding, and interest, Universal has honored our wishes.
